Roof Sandwich Panels
A sandwich panel for roofs, also known as a roof sandwich panel, is a type of construction material that consists of three layers: an outer skin, an insulating core, and an inner skin. The outer skins are typically made of metal, such as steel or aluminum or Aluzinc, the inner skin can be made of metal or nonmetal materials such as aluminum foil, craft papers or nylon. while the insulating core is usually composed of materials like expanded polyisocyanurate (PIR), polyurethane (PUR), or rock wool (RW).
These panels are designed to provide excellent thermal insulation, structural strength, and weather resistance to the roof system. They offer advantages such as lightweight construction, fast installation, and energy efficiency. The insulating core helps to minimize heat transfer, reducing energy consumption for heating or cooling the building.
Sandwich panels for roofs are commonly used in various types of buildings, including industrial facilities, warehouses, commercial buildings, and even residential structures. They provide a cost-effective solution for constructing durable and well-insulated roofs.
The installation process involves placing and securing the panels onto the roof structure, ensuring proper alignment and tight connections between panels. Sealing and weatherproofing measures are also taken to prevent water leakage and enhance the overall performance of the roof system.
