Emaar Industries is honored to have successfully completed one of the largest cold storage facilities in Oman—the Silal Fruit & Vegetable Central Market Cold Stores. Located in the heart of Khazaen Industrial Area, Barka, this project is integral to Oman’s agricultural supply chain, ensuring that fresh produce is preserved under optimal conditions as it passes through the wholesale market, which caters to thousands of visitors and vendors every day.

The project commenced in June 2023 and was completed by the end of March 2024, showcasing Emaar Industries’ ability to deliver large-scale projects on schedule. The development involved the supply and installation of around 60,000 square meters of cold room sandwich panels, designed to provide superior insulation and maintain stable temperatures across various sections of the facility. These sandwich panels are constructed using advanced materials that help enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and meet the stringent requirements for cold storage of perishable goods.

In addition to the walls, floor insulation was installed to further ensure the integrity of the cold rooms, protecting the stored produce from temperature fluctuations. This comprehensive insulation setup is essential for maintaining the quality and freshness of fruits and vegetables during storage.

Emaar Industries also provided a full range of cold room accessories, including doors, sealing systems, and other critical components necessary for the seamless operation of the cold storage facility. Our in-house experts ensured that every element was meticulously installed to meet international standards and provide long-lasting durability.
